Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Danny. I had the good fortune to later own a copy for the Amiga, so that one came with better graphics and sound. You touch on an excellent point about the game being bigger than the machine; it was the first game I played with a such a grand scale. I don't exactly know why, but the second you jumped into that dungeon, you knew you were in for a massive journey.

I'm glad to say that the same epic feeling has not been lost in later Prince games.

Couldn't have said it better. In its time, this game was mystifying. The first time I tried it was on our elephantine 286. Despite the weight and girth of that machine, it still wasn't big enough to contain the sheer excellence of this game.

Hi Amit,

Thanks for dropping by. I have heard of the blog you mention and have visited it a few times. Unfortunately I don't have the energy or wit to rant so often, as evidenced by the rest of my posts :)

But hey, there's even a Stuff Indians Like! Equal opportunity put-downs, I say.

I have been living in Philippines for the last 20 years. Once i visited India along with my parents and the food culture there was really amazing and very diversified. Each and every state there has it's own speciality in especially in food (language cloths, and tradition would be other terms). I enjoyed many recepies their, some of them i remember Chola bhatoora, shahi paneer, matar paner i like most. If in future i will get a chance to visit India, I would not like to miss it, exclusively for Indian Food :)

Crystal balls and other things

The tonal line is down to the brush pen. Very useful if a little hard to get used to (haven't used one for a while).

Hmm, crystal ball? It was just a quick way to vignette the piece and stop me from drawing a lot of background, but sure, hey, I planned it all along, you have recognised my genius, good woman; such subtle metaphors are a hallmark of my work!

U know somehow I can so relate to that comic and I dont know whether thats a good thing or bad thing!!

anyhow I do like how the comic looks, love your tonal line.... and the interesting part is that the window looks like a crystal ball! so is it supposed to be thats what ur future holds to wear all kind of jewels and dazzle away!!

So yes I am too participating n my first comic panel (sticking to panels, no time for strips) is up, so any comments....

I might decide to actually participate this time but only cause it's got 'CK' as it's initials and I cannot let anything with that in it go un-touched by Candyworld..
Only cos it's CK

Drive Ins

There used to be one ancient drive in theatre in Dubai (it was even in the flight path!) but they closed it down a couple of years ago to make way for another mall. Bleh.

Glad to see true civilization is still alive somewhere. I agree about the setting being almost more fun than the movie itself. Maybe in the petrol-free future we can buy up all the old SUVs for cheap and just park them in Drive In theatres, do up the interiors in weird ways and turn the place into an even more fun evening.
